The Catalan government publishes the wind energy priority development zones (ZDP). This scheme will allow the armonius development of wind energy in that territory, simpifying permitting process and guaranteeing access to the grid.

Eight different zones will be allowed a total of 834MW capacity.

Moreover, the decree allows 300MW installed capacity of small wind farms.
